You take the narrow path, at least you can see if something is coming from the structures.
And you are right... a tall, plant-like creature comes out from the abandoned greenhouse, and its opened petals reveal sharp, twisting fangs.
The creature makes a guttural growl and starts to chase you.

The house is not so far away, but the creature is fast.

You can fight the creature and later, proceed to the house with caution, or you can just run inside the house and try to close the door to leave the creature outside.
